Class Registration For Fall 2019 Has Started!

Class registration for Fall 2019 officially started on April 8. If you’re an accepted student, you can register for classes after paying your $200 enrollment fee, and if you pay your fee before May 1, $100 goes towards your fall tuition bill! You can pay the enrollment fee online or call PUC’s cashier at (707) 965-7530 to pay over the phone.

Once this fee is paid, you’re eligible to register for classes with your academic advisor to plan your perfect class schedule—maybe without an 8 a.m. class! For example, if you’re planning to study business, your advisor will be a professor in the department of business (helpful, right?). Your advisor knows the ins and outs of their department’s programs and will be a valuable source for any questions you have about what classes you should take, what major you should consider for your career path, and more. Every quarter your advisor will need to approve your schedule, which is a great safety net for making sure you stay on track to complete your degree! For undecided students, the TLC has an undeclared student advisor who will work with you on what general education classes to take while you explore your options.

If you’re a transfer student …

Transfer students, you will work with your academic advisor for what you should register for, based upon the degree audit completed by the records office. Don’t hesitate to ask your advisor for their input if you aren’t 100 percent sure about what to register for. One more thing!

One other important thing you can do as an accepted student is to fill out the housing information form to reserve your room in the residence halls. If you are an unmarried student under the age of 22, you will be expected to stay in one of PUC’s residence halls, with some exceptions.

Reserve Your Spot in a Residence Hall & Register for Classes

One of the best things about attending Pacific Union College is living in one of our seven residence halls; there are four for women, and three for men. About 72 percent of students live on campus, which fosters a close-knit community atmosphere. Students live together, study together, socialize and worship together, giving our campus a unique sense of unity. College is a special time where you have your closest friends living around you. Last month, class registration for Fall 2016 started, and if you’re an accepted student, you can register for classes after paying your enrollment fee. This lets us know you’re committed to attending PUC and it reserves your spot in classes, once you register for them. It also reserves your room in the residence halls, provided you have completed your housing form.

How Class Registration Works at PUC

If you’re an accepted student for this coming fall but aren’t sure how to go about registering for classes, look no further! This blog post is for you.

Pay Your Enrollment Fee
At this point, the most important thing for you to do is pay your $150 enrollment fee. This lets us know you’re committed to attending PUC and it reserves your spot in classes, once you register for them. You can pay the fee online or by calling PUC’s cashier at 707.965.7530. If you decide PUC isn’t the right fit for you, the fee is completely refundable before September 1st.

Register for Classes
Once you pay your enrollment fee, you’re eligible to register for classes. For new freshmen, this means working with your Enrollment Counselor or to get your perfect class schedule, where your first class is only at 10 AM and you never have class on Fridays. It doesn’t hurt to dream! Your Counselor will do their best to get you the classes you want, but keep in mind some things just might not be possible. And we don’t want to alarm you, but the longer you wait to register for classes, the harder it is to get the schedule you want as sections start to fill up.

Talk With Your Advisor at Orientation
You will be assigned an advisor in the area you’re studying. For example, if you’re planning to study Business, your advisor will be a professor in the Business Department (helpful, right?). If you’re planning to double major, it means double the advisor fun – you get two! These professors know the ins and outs of their department’s programs and seek to have you complete your degree in four years while mentoring academic, spiritual and personal growth.

When you arrive to campus for Orientation in September, you will get a chance to meet one-on-one with your advisor and go over your fall schedule and start planning winter and spring.

Meet With Your Advisor Every Quarter
Every quarter your advisor will need to approve your class schedule. It’s a great safety net for making sure you stay on track to complete your degree!

Call 800.862.7080 option 2 or email enroll@puc.edu to talk with an Enrollment Counselor about a sample class schedule, or if you already have paid your enrollment fee, to register for classes. You will thank yourself later on for getting this taken care of now!

Accepted to PUC – Here’s What’s Next

I hope you tossed a ton of confetti and jumped around your living room as you opened your acceptance packet because we are so thrilled that you’ve been accepted to PUC!

We can’t even express how excited we are for you to arrive on campus this September! But before you get here, there are a few things you need to do. Lucky for you, you’ve found our blog where we’ll break everything down into four simple steps.

1. Pay your enrollment fee
Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you need to pay your entire school bill or anything. The enrollment fee is only $150. The fee is completely refundable if you decide PUC isn’t right for you before September 1. This lets us know you’re committed to attending PUC and it reserves your spot in classes. 2. Complete your housing form
Once you’ve paid your enrollment fee, you can fill out the housing information form. A great thing about PUC is unless you’re married or over the age of 22, you’ll be living in a residence hall which makes becoming part of the PUC family super easy!

3. Register for classes
Today is April 6th, which means class registration for the fall has officially begun! Once your fee has been paid you can get your class schedule set up for your first quarter in college. To do this you can contact your Enrollment Counselor and together you’ll make sure you have the perfect schedule.

4. Make financial arrangements
Have you filled out FAFSA? Have you filled out a PUC Financial Aid Application? Finances are probably the scariest thing about college, which is why we have a great team of Financial Counselors ready to help! But first, take a few minutes to fill out FAFSA and the PUC Financial Aid Application so they have the most accurate information for you.

See? What did I tell you, four easy steps to becoming a PUC student! So hurry up and complete these so you can start doing the fun stuff, like planning how you want your dorm room to look!
