Even if you try to escape as many morning classes as possible, you’re gonna have to take at least one during college. If you’re not a morning person but have morning classes, here are five tips on how to survive them.
Prepare Everything The Night Before
Have your clothes and backpack ready the night before so you can save yourself time in the morning. It can be easy to forget something early in the morning, so preparing your things early is helpful. Plus, you can spend more time in bed!
Sleep Early
Sleeping early is key to surviving morning classes. There will be late nights of studying or wanting to hang out with friends, but sleeping early will help you feel rested and more alert in the morning. You should get in the habit of sleeping early when you have to wake up for your morning class.
Set Alarms
If you have a hard time waking up early or subconsciously turn off your alarm, you should set multiple alarms. Set your alarms five minutes apart or have your phone or clock on your desk so you have to get up to turn it off.
Do Your Morning Routine
If you have a morning routine, stick to it. Your whole morning or day can be thrown off if you don’t do it. If you don’t have a morning routine, make one. It could be waking up earlier to eat or watch your favorite show. However, you like to start your day, make it into your routine. Having a morning routine will help you feel good and start your day on a positive note.
Eat Breakfast
Sometimes your mornings feel rushed, so you forget to eat. Even if it’s something small like a granola bar or yogurt, have it packed in your bag or eat on your way to class. Don’t forget to eat something in the morning to give you that boost of energy.
Early mornings can be rough, but creating a routine and getting enough rest will make all the difference. Hopefully, these tips can help you survive those morning classes.
