Nicole Nunes-Smith has been working at PUC for the last two years. She was initially hired as the credential analyst for the education department but has served as assistant professor and director of field experience. Her family felt that God was asking them to come to the college and since then, they have loved the community and living in a beautiful place.
What do you appreciate the most from your department?
We work hard to make students feel welcome and supported.
What do you want people to know about your department?
We are small but mighty. We love our students and we are passionate about education.
Do you have a morning/afternoon routine to prepare for your classes?
I read the day’s material several times, reflect on who is in my class, and then create/review presentations and activities that I believe will meet the needs of my students.
What is your favorite thing about being a part of the Pioneers community?
I love the emphasis on community here and it is a beautiful place to live.
Do you have a favorite place to eat in the Napa Valley?
Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen. The food is well seasoned and delicious.
Where is your dream vacation, and why?
I would love to visit the Maldives to relax by the water.
What would students be surprised to find out about you?
I am an introvert.
