What has been an unexpected thing you’ve learned since being at PUC?
The most unexpected thing I learned is to never fully trust people’s opinions on something until you’ve seen or tried it yourself. I learned this because when I came to PUC, my friends said they didn’t enjoy the cafe food, but after trying it and having it almost every day, I personally love it.
What is your favorite thing about being a part of the Pioneers community?
My favorite thing about being a part of the Pioneers community is that I feel genuinely included by my peers.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the weight room. I love PUC’s weight room because it’s been a place for me to push myself to get better physically and mentally, and to clear my mind after long periods of studying or class.
What has been your favorite class or professor so far?
My favorite class so far has been Spanish for Healthcare with Professor Sylvia Rasi Gregorutti because it values participation and is small enough for me to connect better with my peers. I learn well in the environment that Professor Gregorutti creates in this class.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
The Philippines, because my parents are both from there, and I would love to see my distant relatives who live there. It is also very beautiful.
What is something you’re passionate about?
I am very passionate about being the best person I can be. I love working hard to improve myself in all aspects, whether it’s going to the gym or getting out of my comfort zone to do something kind for someone.
Where is your favorite restaurant in the Napa Valley?
My favorite restaurant is Rutherford Grill. My favorite order is the Hawaiian! I love sharing it with my family whenever we drive back and forth from home to PUC.
How would you describe your perfect weekend at PUC?
My perfect weekend would be waking up early for church, eating a meal at the cafe, going for a walk to enjoy the sun and weather, and reflecting on my blessings. Then I would make lunch at my dorm and spend the evening with my friends, and grab dinner with them. Then on Sunday, I would enjoy sleeping in and working out in the evening.
